Justin Raden

Bio: Justin Raden is a PhD student in the English department at UIC. His research interests include the history and philosophy of technology; Modernism and machine aesthetics; and the circulation of taxonomies between scientific discourses such as biology, cybernetics, and cognitive science.

Justin first got involved with the Freshwater Lab through an interest in representations of infrastructure and has served as a Research Assistant under Prof. Rachel Havrelock since 2016, working primarily on theories of resource sovereignty and alternative resource management schemes.
